Totem Animal cardsAustralian Totem animals originate from Native Americans. Each animal has a meaning which relates to the behaviour and qualities of humans. The cards can give wisdom and guidance relevant to the person receiving the reading, like the deer advising to be gentle to one another or the swan telling of true love coming in. They are read in a similar way to tarot cards and can be drawn one card at a time or up to ten at a time. Ideal for mix and mingle or static at a table. The facilitator guides the group into a relaxing meditation to a background of Native American music until an animal is visualised. The group then discuss the meaning and symbolism of the animal that came to them and what lessons can be learnt from it. Sometimes more than one animal is experienced Participants can be seated on chairs or sit on the floor. Duration- 20 mins for the meditation and then 5 mins per person afterwards to share experience. |
